For either savings or a short term cd account?
A lot of them have a minimum of $25,000. I only want to put aside $10,000.

the best rates are online banks... We were using Wealthfront but since the fed keeps dropping interest rates, it's not so good anymore...

Try going to DepositAccounts.com, they list the best rates in the country. It includes a lot of local special rates that aren't advertised.
Typically, Credit Unions offer higher rates than the banks and have lower minimums required to open an account.

We use CIT (bankoncit.com). The rates have dropped over the last few months but are still relatively high. If you're near Teaneck, check out Cross River Bank.
