Our eggs froze over chag. Are they safe to use once they defrost?

It's happened to me, I used them and they were fine. But, I wouldn't use in cakes etc

A few of my eggs froze too.
I let them defrost and used them for a kugel and they were totally fine.
Don't see a reason not to use them in cake.

I'd be worried that the whites wouldn't whisk properly.

I've never frozen whole eggs, but unless the yolks break as a result of freezing it should be fine, when a recipe leaves me with extra egg whites I freeze them to use later, and they whip properly.

I think that if you leave them to come to room temperature it shouldn't be a problem.
But if one is using them for a cake that relies on the whipped whites for volume maybe its better to play it safe and use eggs that weren't frozen for that, just in case.

In my experience not all frozen eggs have the same quality when defrosted. Your lucky you don’t have to pay for this service. I paid through the nose to put them in the freezer and have to pay $85/month for storage 😝 😝 😝
