Please read carefully- I am not asking how to toilet train my 2 3/4 yr old.
My daughter has been keeping her diaper dry for hrs(5+) at a time.
I know that she is drinking enough, and she is actually holding it back, because when she finally makes, it is a huge amount of liquid at a time and I always make sure she has enough to drink. She will make when she goes to sleep for the night or at some point during the day when she can't hold it back.
She is not interested in making in the potty - she has the same issue of holding back when she sits. (her twin sister makes occasionally in potty and she has older sisters that she observes using the toilet) so I don't think that making her diaper wet is the issue.
It seems like she is just scared to let go - and lose control?
My concern is that is very UNHEALTHY for her to be holding it in for so long and can cause bladder control issues later on.
Does anyone have experience with this - some ideas on how to get her to ease up? I will add that she is a very stubborn young girl!

Could it be that it hurts her to make?

Try to sit with her and take some goodies with you and tell her e/time she makes, she gets s/thing. even if she makes only a little bit, praise her, and give her s/thing.
I hope this helps.
