Hi,
I have a sheitel with really good hair in great condition (only 2.5 years old)
It has side bangs and I'm feeling more and more out of style by the day.
Is it possible to take it off? How much would something like that cost?
Thanks

I did this.
They removed the bangs and replaced it with long hair which I now pin up.
Think it was around $250.

I did it twice .
They removed the hair and added longer hair .
It was 250-260.

I removed my front bangs and made it into a fall. I regret it though. Costed $150

Can you cut a full bang - that is also in style.
Will still cost $50-100 depending on who cuts.

Just be aware it will never look as good as a wig originally with longer hair. The longer hairs added will have knots and returns that may show. It isn't as multi directional. It can look good but be aware going in.
Another cheap option is to convert to a bandfall.
A more expensive option is to replace the multi with a lace top. Those look very good but it's about $800.

Wow thank you all for all the info
I'm nervous to do it and not know what I am actually going to gain. Maybe the front bangs is not such a bad idea... If anyone else has anything more to weigh in please do but not sure if it's worth it

Not OP but I also have a shaitel with side bangs. Are they really THAT out of style? Is it the type they’ll make a come back?

You can change side bangs to bangs parted center.

Use a wefts from your existing wig so you don’t have the problems that come with adding hair in. For a longer side bang if the sheitel is shorter you could make shorter and layers. You can blowout the wig so the bangs aren’t prominent or do a half up style.

I’ve taken out the side bangs and put in about $200 worth of longer hair, I wish I had put in more though... she convinced me I didn’t need to

I took out full bangs from a wig, and put in long hairs instead that I pin back. It was the best decision ever, it's so much more comfortable and I like the look of no hair my face. I think it was about $150 but I don't remember exactly.

I don't know if I want to pin it back- more the tucked behind the ear look is what I'm looking for. Is that possible with redoing it like this?
