Child care is government subsidized in Quebec. The public day care centers charge parents 150-175$/month. The rest (about 650$/child) is covered by the provincial government. Parents can also choose to hire private child care and then the government gives the funds directly to the parents. Many frum women make an excellent parnassa by running kiddie groups for 4/5 children in their homes. Some have 9/10 children and hire an assistant.

That is so inexpensive. I pay 1000 a month for my 3 year old, and 1000 for my 4 year old.
