Does your school have bussing at the start of the year? What's your location?

Yes. Chicago. Based on how our school faces with the street if we did not have a bus it would cause tremendous safety issues as well as potential chillul hashem for the surrounding area.
Sundays is a no busing day and its a total nightmare but its only once a week. If it was like that the other 5 days it would be insane. I was so grateful when they announced they would be offering a bus this year.

When school starts before labor day, some schools don't have bussing till after labor day.

I'm in Manhattan, but my asd kid goes to school in Brooklyn. I sure hope there will be bussing. I know de blasio wants to reduce bussing, but a school bus is safer than the train.

Yes, B"H! I live on Long Island and we only just found out we are going to have bussing this year. Everyone was already planning carpools and the working moms on the class WhatsApp chats were freaking out about how they were going to get multiple kids of different ages and genders to different schools and somehow manage to get to work on time. We're all a little more relaxed now. Masks will be required, of course.
