Hi,
I'm iyh making a Bar Mitzvah very soon. A bit last minute but looking for inspiration! Hoping to get tablecloths from a Gemach, but since I'm not hiring a party planner all ideas welcome!
Also, could use some assistance for a simple but elegant menu for shabbos

Don’t waste money on miniatures. Instead buy bigger nice cakes or tarts.
If you want to splurge - order custom napkins , cookies etc with bar mitzvah boy name.
Charchurie boards brings it up a notch
Bring vases to flower store with budget and have them fill them for you.
Buy pretty bottles of water or seltzer
Think like a party planner - they take your cc and swipe and swipe ...
these splurges won’t cost you more than $200 and will make your kiddish pop
Mazel Tov!!
