Hi! I think that this is the first time I'm posting in this forum.
I'm looking for resources for positive parenting for children who don't fit the typical mold. I've read a lot of the regular and popular books (and heard lots of talks and shiurim) designed for neurotypical children but find that they don't address how to positively address situations when a nonneurotypical child gets stuck in a particular behavior/acts impulsively/can't control wildness etc. I need some ideas that will help this child while not making his already low self-esteem even lower.
I'm specifically looking for strategies that will work for a child between ages 8-11.
Can anyone point me to any books, talks, or shiurim (or recommend any strategies that you personally find works well)? Thank you!

The whole brain child, no drama discipline and the explosive child have helped me the most.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'm going to look into all of these.
The only one I read is the Whole Brain Child, which was great.
Are there any quick and easy tips that you find particularly effective (that I can use NOW while I'm reading through these books/websites)?
