the Baal Ha'Turim on the last pasuk in Chayei Sarah (25:18 ) which is about Yishmael "al pnei kol echav nofal" (they dwelled near all their brethren) says that the connection between last week's parsha with this week's parsha, Toldos, is that when Yishmael falls (nofal also means to fall) at the End of Days, then Ben Dovid (I.e. Moshiach) will blossom, and he is a descendent of Yitzchok.
