Do you give gifts to your child for birthdays? Which circles ate you from? Chassidish, yeshivish, MO, Baal Teshuva, sephardi, etc

Heimish.
I make sure to celebrate with favorite dinner, or a birthday cake, or a small gift. Just make them feel special on their special day.
When they're older I may take them out for lunch just me and them.

Mine are still young; my oldest (almost 6) has been able to choose party, present or trip for her birthday since she was 3. She’s never picked a gift. This year since trips and parties are off the table, she may get a present. No idea what. BH she has everything she needs. We are RW MO
