There was a bakery in Flatbush that sold these amazing chocolate hamantashen! The filling was real creamy, pudding like texture. I think the bakery was called Porgesz. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I'd love to get their hamantashen recipe! It was a real delicious purim season treat! But they've been closed for a while now. Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe you can buy one of the choc hamentashen filling they sell in the store.
Like bakers choice
Chocolate shmeer
Nougat shmeer
It looks like it would make that. Sounds really yummy.
We sometimes fill with brownie mix. But it isn’t pudding like.

I dont have a recipe but wanted to say that Sesame bakery has hamentashen with lots of different fillings I.e. cheese, chocolate, caramel, etc similar to their donuts on chanuka.

I make this filling every year. It’s amazing.
I don’t have a fleishig microwave so I melt the chocolate chips in a double boiler on top of my stove and add everything else into that.

I've tried chocolate filling, or schmear. It didnt come close to what I'm looking for.

Or I'm thinking of mixing a real heavy pudding mix, maybe cut out half the milk. How would that work? Would it be too runny? Anyone ever tried anything like that?

No, but it seems to be a good idea. I've been suffering from runny chocolate fillings for years. Never thought of using pudding to make it firmer. I think I'll try that as an experiment.

This looks interesting. Does the texture remain a bit gooey after baking? If it does it might be similar to what I'm looking for |
I use a dunkin Hines recipe filling. It stays soft. But not gooey.
I think this thread discusses brownie filling a lot.

It stays somewhat gooey, especially if you don’t overbake.
