Do I need to? I had it for 20 years.

I never did either. Oh well.

(You definitely don't need to wash them for Pesach, unless they double as tablecloths.)

Not a pesach issue unless you eat off of them regularly . Might be a good idea to do in terms of dust but you can deal with that after pesach

It will freshen things up if you wash them. You can do it after Pesach. I don't either really remember to wash my own curtains. But I don't have curtains that old, partially because I haven't been living in one house for that long.

Not a pesach thing, but they get dusty. Growing up it was something my mother did twice a year, I had fun putting the curtain hooks back in. It's only really important if you have curtains where the dust shows, or if there are allergies.

Do your kids use them to wipe their grubby hands?

Seriously, after 20 years, they are probably full of dust mites. Getting them cleaned will make a huge difference in allergies, or even just the random stuffy nose. It will also brighten up the colors and make them look fresh.

Don't bother doing it now, because the dry cleaners are probably all booked up at the moment. Put it on the top of your to-do list for after Pesach. Many cleaners will come to your house and take them down, and then rehang them for you when they are done.
