Need to bring an ice cream cake with me to our family we’re going to for shabbos. How can I keep it frozen for one and half hour drive?

Make sure it's solidly frozen.

Use an insulated cooler or bag, with ice underneath.

It should survive, if the car isn't too warm.

I don't suppose you could consider ordering something near them, and picking it up en route?

If you want to be really safe get a small piece of dry ice and put the cake into a bigger box with the dry ice and the whole box into a closed garbage bag.
Be careful to dispose of the dry ice outside

Ask the store you are buying the ice cream cake if they can package it up for transport. I don't know where you are located, but in Brooklyn, The Ice Cream House will put your cake into a styrofoam insulated box with dry ice for you if you say you need to drive a long distance with it.

You don’t. You buy it closer to where you’re going.

If you use dry ice, please make sure you’re aware of how to use it and dispose of it. It can be very dangerous

Grab some free newspapers, and use them to wrap the cake en masse. They make for Excellent insulation. Since the cake will be frozen solid in the bakery, you should have no problem.

Those cakes have so much shortening, the stay pretty solid even when melted. I've seen a melted cake stay pretty much whole. Stopped buying them.
