Does anyone know where there is a yeshiva/college program/vocational program - something good for a 20 year old boy who needs to work on his GED and is marginally religious?
Didn’t make it in mainstream setting, but would do well with likeminded kids who are motivated to get a high school diploma and move on to college credits/vocational schooling.
It would be nice if there were some learning (not too much) that would give him a warm fuzzy feeling towards yiddishkeit.
Does such a place exist?

A 20 yr old is an adult. He should be making his own decisions unless he is special needs. Is that the reason he does not have a HS degree at 20?

Isn’t Eatontown a high school only? Same for Waterbury? Does anyone know?

And yes...he does have issues.

Thanks for the heads up that he should be making his own decisions. Clearly if I am asking, there is a reason.

I don't know about Eatontown but Warerbury has for post high school boys also. They also might able to direct you to other options if that doesnt work.

Is EY an option? There is a Yeshiva for such type of boys there started by NEVE Rebbeim located in Telzstone.

I was thinking possibly YU would work with him but he would need a high school diploma or GED.

Waterbury might be a good bet. might be worth reaching out to Rabbi Kalish and seeing what he can do for you. He's very flexible, really cares about "his boys" and will definitely try to help you if he can
He might be able to join the BM and take classes at the high school, or something along those lines.

Op, both eatentown and Waterbury are great options.
Rabbi Kasirer Is in eatentown. Call him, he’ll steer you right and help guide you.

Waterbury has quite a few in that age group.

I don't know if there are boys like that in Englewood (Ohr Simcha), but if not, they will definitely care and try to help and have leads for you to look into.

I wouldn't think so. YU expects kids to manage an intense dual curriculum without any hand holding. And they expect kids to be serious about being religious, though of course, as in all schools, not all are.
