My son is interested in "graphics". He's artistic and creative, loves to draw and cook and create using different mediums. Before I invest in some real courses, what are some resources we can check out to see if this is something for him? Someone suggested the free courses on Udemy, but I don't even know which instructor to start with. We do have an old version of some sort of Photoshop, is that a help? I know YouTube is usually great for learning new skills.
So: What specific class/resource do you recommend for a newbie 10 year to get a basic foundation of the field? Edited to add: any particular teacher or channel to recommend?

I started around 10. I took a Junior graphics course on Sundays. I’m not sure if such a thing still exists. It was by compuskills in Lakewood

Is he looking to expand his skills of drawing/illustrating? Or actual graphics?

Good question. I think the tech part is exciting for him. Creating images on the computer. I’m not sure he considered expanding the drawing skills per se. Why do you ask? Would love to hear more.

Canva does sound interesting. And I can probably find free videos to help him fiddle around.
