Simple: buy cake and repackage it.
Medium: Mini trifles: crushed oreo cookies on bottom, whipped cream with chocolate pudding mix and confectioners sugar in middle, plain whipped cream on top, sprinkle more crushed cookies on top. Make in fancy mini cups and put a mini spoon in each, no need to freeze between layers, or make in a pan, cut into squares and put on a fancy mini plate with a mini spoon.
Or: make sugar cookies in an appropriate shape (baby carriage, tefillin etc.-you can find in Michael's, online or in a Jewish housewares store), before baking, use a straw to punch 2 holes side by side into the middle of the cookie. When finished baking and cooled, roll in confectioners sugar and thread an appropriate ribbon (pink, black or matching color scheme, etc.) through the two holes and tie a pretty bow in the front.

Or...buy the cake and send as is.
Any fancy cake from a local bakery is a very nice gesture.

I meant to buy inexpensive cake in unattractive packaging, like Stern's rugelach or Reisman's mini brownie bars. Depending on where you live, it might be totally OK to send as is. But yes, buying and sending a fancy cake or a chocolate or candy platter is always appreciated and fairly simple if you're out and about. I assumed OP already knew about those options and needed different ideas.

I send a fruit platter. There is a lady here who sells fancy ones for 25 dollars.
If I want to go simpler, a peanut chew platter or dried fruit And nuts
