What do you like to do? Do you need a shul? Will you bring food?

Thank you for replying!
Anything wholesome based, swimming, boating, pool, horseback riding.
I can bring food, though if there is food there, it is so much easier.
Need a minyan.
Looking for next week shabbos iyH

Berkshire’s has a pretty active chabad, perhaps reach out to see if they expect to have a minyan? Check out tannerviille/hunter mountain: they have shuls. If flying was an option you can go to Denver or Arizona.

Maple, thank you so much! I really need some hand holding now, to get this off the ground!
I reached out to Chabad of Berkshire, and am waiting to hear back from them.
Tannersville / Hunter sounds great, I need a place to stay close to shul. Are you able to help with that perhaps?
We're not going for enough days to spend it driving to the airport and flying and driving again etc though that really would be fun. Perhaps a different time!

There’s another post right now about tannersville (with no responses tho) I’ve never been (though I’ve wanted to) since I prefer to use hotel points for getaways and there’s no chain hotels in tannersville.
I hope something works out for you

Tannersville- Country K (that's the kosher store, but I believe it's owned by same ppl) has a hotel that is a right near the shul and the lake
The store phone number is +1 518-589-4174, call and ask them about the hotel
The store is already open for the season, per their Facebook
Otherwise you can look on airbnb and then see how far the house is from the Shuls
the main shul is on Tomkins st, there is the yeshiva on South main Street (these two are bscly across each other)
The chabad is on main Street near where south main intersects it.
The Bostoner Rebbes Shul is further up main street and there is a motel directly across the street from it called Sun View Motel that jews always stay in.

I've never been to any as my parents have a house in Tannersville (it's already rented out, so sorry)
This one is right in the middle of everything, close to all the shuls https://abnb.me/ToQvGNIOihb
So is this one, https://abnb.me/pTinK8UOihb
This is right near the spring street Minyan, didn't post about that one before, but that's another Shul
https://abnb.me/30e6fL3Oihb
This is a little further away but definitely still walking distance and looks like a cool place to stay
https://abnb.me/weBQUIWPihb
Great location, close to everything
https://abnb.me/aHyIdm6Pihb
Also close to spring street minyan and the camp (has a pool with public hours for women and men)
Not gonna search the whole airbnb, wasn't checking any specific dates, so if you see one and you're not sure if it is near the shuls then feel free to post it here and I can definitely let you know

Sure
But there is only one place to eat and that is country k, the kosher store. Nothing fancy, but you can get a good milchig meal there
It is also a grocery and so you can get whatever you need there and don't have to schlep everything from home

Bailiwick zoo and ranch has horseback riding, about 20 min away https://www.bailiwickranch.com/
North South Lake, 10 min from Tannersville has boat rentals (like canoe, kayak, row boat, pedal boat type) and a beach for swimming
Hunter mountain, 10 min from Tannersville opens their ski lift for a scenic skyride to the top of the mountain. They also have a zip line and climbing adventure, it's expensive but looks really really cool.
There's obviously tons and tons of hiking.
Kaaterskill Falls is famous and breathtaking, you can access from the top or bottom. From the bottom it's a hike up but once you get there you see the main falls, really pretty view. From the top it's an easy walk, a couple minutes and then there's an observation deck where you can see the waterfall from the top and the mountain view.
A little further, in Phonecia, there is something cool I never tried but really want to do, called Railway Explorers, https://www.railexplorers.net/
The Tannersville lake has a playground if you have kids that age, and the bike path off the park is a really relaxing nice wooded trail.
There's really tons and tons to do, let me know if you need any other ideas or suggestions. You can Google online for more ideas, it's Greene County
Also in the kosher store they always have a pamphlet they put out new every year thats full of activities and attractions nearby

The day camp, called camp Sharon has a pool and in the past was open in the morning for women's swim and in the afternoon for mens
They have swimming on Friday too. But I'm not sure the hours, prices and if they still do it since it's under new ownership. The pamphlet in the store with attractions definitely will have that info though
