Regular mail. Just make sure the envelope isn't see through.

I would call the camp office and make a deposit into their canteen account. Camps usually allow kids to withdraw cash from their canteen. I never send cash with my kids to camp. Would get lost or stolen.

In CBY (where my DD is right now) the kids have a "bank account" and a "canteen account". We sent up an amount to put into canteen, and another amount to put in the bank (she can take out of that when they go on trips, etc...)
My father will send some extra $$$ any grandkid who writes to him from camp, so you can be sure they all take the time to do so. He sends it in the mail.

If you send by mail be aware that mail from NYC to the catskills goes through Albany first, so we found that mail sometimes took 2 full weeks to arrive.

It sure does. Never send cash in the mail unless you don’t care if the addressee ever gets it.

Canteen account is best. Many camps allow kids to pull money out of it for trips and the like, and to but all kinds of things. If you're able to go through the parents, that's the easiest way- they can likely do it online through their account. If not, call the camp and ask what the best way is. Mail often takes forever.
