B"H we have good credit.
Where do we go to get preapproved for a mortgage?
Are some mortgage places better than others?
Does the place that pre-approves us, have to be the place we stick to for the actual mortgage?
Please tell me what we need to know (Getting a Mortgage for dummies).
How long does it usually take to get pre-approved?

your mortgage broker can do the pre-approval for you, it does not have to be actual

I called a mortgage broker and he ran the numbers and provided me a preapproval that day. That being said, we have a very set salary.
When I ended up reaching out to a different broker because he had better references, he issued me a preapproval within an hour.
Again, we had excellent credit and a very set salary.
