"Isn't it Romantic" is one of my favorites. Pretty clean, some implied intimacy, but the running joke is that it never actually happens. The moral at the end of the story is really sweet, too.

How do you feel about kids shows will really intelligent writing? Personally, fell in love with the "My Little Pony" series. It is SO well written, the characters are all well thought out. The ponies each have their own personalities, interests, and ideas about doing things. Sometimes this causes conflict, but they always work it out in the end.

The show is about having good middos, compromising, and appreciating the differences in others while still appreciating yourself. I would be happy with any child seeing this, and as an adult I can still recommend it to anyone who wants some fun, kosher entertainment. (BTW, most of the writers are Jewish.)

Stay away from the movies where the ponies magically get turned into teenagers. The plots are dumb, and I'm not happy with they way the teens are portrayed. Definitely a waste of time.

I forgot what it’s called, the movie about the guy who’s unknowingly living in a reality show

Yes! The Truman show! I have to find it and rewatch it. Along with the blue lagoon. These old movies were quality.

If you like Jim Carrey, watch "Man in the Moon". It's a documentary about when he played Andy Kaufman in a move - and during the entire filming Carrey stays in the Kaufman character the entire time. On breaks, off set, during lunch, everything! He does not break character for one single second. It's stunning to watch.

At the end, he says that after doing the show about Kaufman, it changed him. Sometimes he feels like he IS Kaufman, and he has lost Carrey. He kind of disassociates in and out of himself and the character, and isn't always sure who he is. That can happen to some method actors when they deep dive into a storyline.

I know that Nicolas Cage went into some pretty dark places after he shot "8mm" and "Leaving Los Vegas", which were extremely depressing and horrifying movies. I've seen them both once, and have no desire to ever see them again. They were excellently made, but just too much for me.
