So we would like to go away (Aug 26 - 29), but it seems that everyone is coming back already this weekend, and I am concerned that DH and son will not have walkable minyan to daven on shabbos.
How do I find out what's available in terms of a minyan passed this weekend? Is there a WhatsApp group or another way to find out, please?

What about the year round communities upstate? Places that have yeshivas, shuls, etc year round should have minyans year round, too. Try maybe Woodridge or South Fallsburgh. I'd say the regular shuls or yeshivas up there should be able to direct you.

Woodburne shul will probably have minyan. You can also stay near yeshiva of South fallsburg
