Dark black can mean old blood, I would have it checked out

According to Google, it can be caused by iron supplements or eating black foods.
any history of IBD?

he was slightly anemic, so he was taking iron supplements. but he stopped taking them quite a few months ago, very unlikely to be related. I havent had him tested since.

As far as I know, it's often blood in the stool. I would be in touch with a Dr asap. Refua shelaima!
