Ok, here is the deal... I am completely traumatized by the concept of DENTIST, having gone through a root canal, with the novacaine not working and feeling EVERYTHING.... I need some major work done, and can't eat on either side of my mouth...so has anybody had a positive experience with a dentist? It can be in NY or NJ. I would prefer a dentist who uses laughing gas, as I am so so traumitized I can hardly think of getting drilled without going to pieces....

When you find one that uses laughing gas, please let me know. Dh needs work done, and absolutely refuses to see a dentist, unless he has gas.

Mine doesn't use, or have, gas, but I love him very much. He's a gentle, old-fashioned kind of dentist, very pleasant and kind. His wife runs the office. No hygienist, he does all the cleaning himself. I always enjoy going there.

most don't use gas anymore, unless tha patient is allergic to novicaine.
you can pm me and I'll help you. dd is a dental assistant and we know a lot of nyc dentists.
