Decorators: No living room drapes with Contemporary Decor?

All I see are bare windows, with blinds or at most sheers.

Has anyone seen decorators using any interesting drapery for living rooms, with modern decor?

If yes, please post a link or photo.

Do you mean modern or do you mean contemporary because they are different styles.

Modern style generally doesn’t use drapes because the aesthetic is more streamlined and the furniture choices reflect that.

Contemporary is a broad range and might use drapes of some kind. However they wouldn’t normally be the old fashioned style with valences, swags, tassels etc unless these features were used in an unexpected and contemporary manner.

But really what does it matter because homes are decorated in all kinds of ways depending on the taste preferences of the residents. 😀🤷‍♀️ If you don’t like windows without drapes then get drapes. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Merely having drapes doesn’t make it Bubbe style - not that there is anything wrong with Bubbe style to quote Seinfeld if you like it.
