My son has had a yellow tongue for the last week. It’s not from food coloring.
Is it something I should be concerned about?

Its not going away. My doctor told me to just wait and see.
Is this normal? anyone with experience? Could it be serious and I shouldnt be waiting? should I be pushing for tests? what should I be concerned about?

In most cases, proper oral hygiene practices resolve yellow tongue completely. A toothbrush or tongue scraper may help remove any bacteria or other buildup on the surface of the tongue |

My infant son had it. It was so weird. But doc scraped it off and it came right off.

I brush his tongue and it either doesn’t come off or comes right back the next day. Every day there is more or less yellow but it’s not going away.
I guess I’m worried about if it’s a sign of a liver problem.
