If you would consider teletherapy, try Daniel Gopin. You can see excellent reviews on Thumbtack.

I appreciate everyone’s responses. Are all these responses from people who have used them for thei teenage child and has had success ? Is there anyway to post numbers and location. Thank you!
The one who does telehealth is it over the phone?? My son seems to want not face to face bec he’s shy, is that an issue ,‘I feel like it’s probably better face to face

Yes I used Faigy Russ for my teenage daughter and she did a fantastic job. Her personality is extremely calm and sweet my daughter liked her and trusted her. She was doing teletherapy during Covid for sure she might still be open to it now.

Actually my son also suffers from anxiety and OCD. I feel that I'll be wasting my time by going to a therapist and should go directly to a psychiatrist for the right medication. I understand every situation is different but perhaps this is the right approach.
Treating OCD and anxiety with therapy might bring on more anxiety and compulsive thoughts...

Aside for medication , has anyone helped their son get rid of the ocd or is that there to stay.
Also, do you think using a woman therapist if he’s a sweet teen is that ok? Or I need a male therapist

I’ve treated pandas antibiotics wise but this has been going on for years it comes and go. Unfortunate I didn’t know abt pandas when he was diagnosed with ocd at such a young age of 5/6 if only there was more awareness .

In addition to finding a good therapist that can help your son function on a daily basis, you can look for an excellent pandas specialist that can help you find more lasting healing. If you post your location I can try make some recommendations.

I would only send to a male. Having a female therapist may be very uncomfortable for him.

If you decide to do teletherapy, Rabbi Dr Jonathan Schwartz is a great ocd therapist.
