Subject says it all. Someone gave my son two sourdough challahs, we won't use that much, can I freeze one?
Thanks.

It freezes better than regular bread.
When you thaw it out, thaw it in the refrigerator. When it starts to soften, turn it over a few times so that it will thaw evenly all around, and not get soggy on the bottom and dried out on the top.

Yes. If you like it crispy you will need to warm it up in the oven before eating

Yes, we freeze sourdough challa all the time. We defrost ours in a Ziploc on the counter, and it's yummy.
Regular sourdough bread (not challa) might need to be toasted so it gets crunchy. Otherwise the crust can get very tough to chew.
