Early Shabbos menu ideas?

With Shabbos now starting so early, what are you usually serving? I hate leaving food sitting so long to reheat/stay warm, especially with having to rush home from work and get every ready.

Can't do any cooking now on Fridays because of (new) work schedule.

What mains and sides are good that will reheat well (we won't eat until after 6 pm so that's at least 2 hrs of sitting on the heat)? How are you keeping them warm/reheating?

We do the same traditional menu
Challa/dips and sometimes fish
Chicken soup
Chicken on the bone( Hiding are we still allowed ?)
Potato kugel
Green beans
I sometimes do other stuff but most shabbos this is it!

Why is it different than another shabbos? I don’t understand why there would be a different menu because shabbos starts early. I set my oven to turn off 1.5 hours after shabbos begins every shabbos.
We do regular food
Challah
Fish
Soup
Chicken - usually 2 types- 1 is spicy that my kids enjoy
Kugel
Green beans
My kids like franks n blanks which I leave on top of the crockpot to stay warm

I think the difference is that the food will need to be cooked thursday, as she works friday. Op, I find chicken with sauce reheats well. Also I often do rice instead of potatoes or kugel as my kids prefer it, and that reheats well.

I put soup in my crockpot in the morning or make ahead and just reheat when I get home.
Kugel from the freezer into the oven when I get home.
Chicken on the bone I prepare with lots of sauce still mostly frozen, and stick it in the oven frozen, and set the oven to turn on an hour and a half before I get home- it defrosts in the cool oven and then cooks. Can sit on a hot plate for a while.
roasted veggies/potatoes I do when I get home and balance on something else so its just warm not hot.

I do as follows:
I buy challah almost exclusively because “nothing tastes as good as calm feels”
Chicken soup- I have kneidel frozen in the freezer”
I do the same chicken every week because it makes the house smell yum- it’s white wine minced garlic and apricot jam
For sides I put rice in a disposable - gets ready quick. If I’m on top of my game I have small containers of minced sautéed veggies that I plop in.
For a veggie I throw some broccoli in a disposable and plop it on the blech

Yes, just make sure they go straight from the freezer into the soup to warm up. If you let them defrost the texture/taste is awful.
