I'm pretty new to Imamother and finding it ironic how some threads have most posters with similar opinions on a certain topic and other threads can have most posts with completely opposite opinions.

Some examples:
A thread on how large families manage: there was a lot of bashing asking children to help out, calling it parentifying, etc.
A different thread asking for how to manage to run her household better: a lot of posters mentioned having children help out, fold their own laundry, etc.

In a recent thread (maybe the same one as the large families?) mothers were advocating for paying a child to babysit, and now there's one ongoing where most posts were against paying a child to babysit.

I'm pretty sure there were more, but I can't remember now.

I guess it goes along the lines of you get an answer based on how you ask a question.

Any input?

Responses tend to follow the thought of first response. I've been following this for some time.

A lot depends on how the question was asked and how much detail the OP supplied. Even a doctor or rav will tailor the response to the audience, and the better the authority knows the asker, the more appropriate the response can be.
