does he have a way to heat or refrigerate things? is it different than any lunch he would eat anywhere else?

No way to heat things. I usually make him sandwiches, but it's so unhealthy that I give him so much bread so looking for other ideas. Salads won't fill him up

Wrap with shnitzel lettuce veg...
Salad with something filling.. sweet potato or squash or chickpeas
Soup in a thermos
Tuna salad with ww crackers

Salads with quinoa or farro and then add protein like egg or tuna on top would fill him up. Then you have your protein+carb+veg

Fish Sticks ( with spicy mayo!)
Spicy Tuna and rice cake
Chummus, crackers and baby carrots
Smoothies (send it frozen and it defrost by lunchtime)
Granola and milk (in a coffee cup)

Hard boiled eggs
Chick peas
Vegetables and chumos.
Rice cake and peanut butter.
Protein bars.
Use a romaine lettuce leaf as a wrap for tuna or egg salad.
Celery sticks with peanut butter or tuna
Instant oatmeal
Overnight oatmeal (raw oatmeal soaked in milk Overnight. Add salt, sugar, cinnamon, raisins, etc.)
Granola cereal or special k cereal
