Was it worth it?
Around how much did it cost?
Does it ruin the lichter?
Do you have to maintain it? Like dip again in a few years?

Did it with our menorah. It really looks good. I would like to do it with the leichter too eventually. I don’t remember exactly how much I paid- maybe $200?

My husband did it at least 4 years ago, can't remember, still looks perfect. Up close some small spots of tarnish in the crevices

Do you mean lacquered? We did it and it still looks amazing 3 years later. Definitely worth the $250, saves the job of polishing every week.

I was told that you can only use certain types of candles Because if it's drips down it can't be cleaned. Is that true?

Yes, candle wax and oil drips will ruin it

Lacquer is great. The downside is drips of hot wax will ruin the finish and leave marks. Only use Neronim in those deep glass cups if you'll be lacquering, since candles drip.
