Ds gets nose bleeds often these days. What can it be? Can it be something serious or is it because his nose likes to make his shirt colorful and me doing laundry more often then I already am?

My brother has the same problem. His nose just starts gushing for no reason. My mother took him to an ent who said in his case his nose is just extremely dry. He told him to put a lot of bacitracin up his nose for a while to moisten it. I'm not sure exact details. The ent also checked to make sure there were no blockages or something more serious ch"v. Sometime there might be a vein that is being irritated which makes it bleed so you would have to cauterize it.
Bottom line if it happens very often: go to a doctor to check it out.

what happens is the dry air (usually heat of the winter's heating systems) w/o fresh air creates the inner nose to dry up and bleed ... yup an ENT doc cauterized my dd's nose - takes a minute ... and voila ...

good luck ...

p.s. if he really likes colorful shirts - get tie dye ... Colors
