I keep seeing this written but selling keilim is shorthand for selling the possible on/in the keilim. Every single rav who sells chometz knows this fact and knows the wording to write on the shtar.

I imagine that any rav will tell people that they can't or shouldn't sell dishes. But how much food do you have on your dishes that it even qualifies as chametz? And why do people think they are selling their dishes?
