How do people do it? Drinking tons of water-

The last 2 days I’ve been trying to drink a lot of water for weight loss purposes. I’m not a water drinker but I know it’s important.

So the challenge began yesterday-

The problem is I spent the entire day going to the bathroom.
Literally- every 20-30 minutes.
And I feel like I’m plotzing .. it’s so urgent that I barely make it on time.
This is SO annoying!!!!
Is this how water drinkers spend their day??

you may need pelvic floor therapy. also, try not to gulp water at a time. sip slowly through out the day.

Your body will adjust eventually. I try and have set bathroom times. And I find the more often I go, my body will get used to going more often. I try and hold it that instead of going when I need to just a little, for when I really need to.

Regarding water, I drink 2 cups when I get up
Another cup b4 breakfast
Another cup after breakfast
One more cup in between breakfast and lunch
A cup before lunch
A cup after lunch
A cup b4 afternoon snack
A cup after snack
A cup b4 supper
1-2 cups after supper

I've recently started drinking more water as well.
In the beginning I had to run to the bathroom every second, eventually though my body got used to it and was able to hold it for longer.

Your body is not used to the water, so it's trying to flush it out.

You need to sip small amounts of water over the day. Never more than half a cup at a time. Put a pinch of pink/sea salt into your water should help with not running to the bathroom so much all day long.

I am trying to motivate myself to drink more. Can someone explain what it is about drinking water that aids in weight loss?

I got a 40 oz stanley water bottle with a straw. I fill it with ice and water and sip it throughout the day and usually need to refill it. It helps me drink slowly and yet its still enjoyable, and getting the water in.
