My DD got this book. I'm afraid to let her read such a grown up looking book that I am not familiar with.
If you've read it, can you share if there was content that was too questionable for a 12 year old?
I'm not overly protective, But I don't know if it gets heavy with dysfunctional family drama kind of stuff. Or anything like that.

Don't know if this is still relevant, but yes, it's pretty heavy and emotional. I cried through some parts of it.

I think it's okay. I read it when I was a young teen and my sisters were even younger.

It’s a great book but I think a bit too intense for a 12 year old.

Are you possibly thinking of the wrong book? It just came out a few years ago.

It could be intense for 12 but theres nothing wrong with the content. but it was probably not intended for that age
