One of my dds is very vocal about it when she gets her period, so my husband usually knows. My other dds don't usually talk about it to me either unless they have a reason to, they need more supplies or they have more pain than usual or something. But sometimes when one of them is acting moody, my husband will ask if she has her period and if I know I'll tell him.
To me it's private information but not a secret. So we don't discuss it at the dinner table, but we do discuss it when there's a reason to.
