Dh had an emergency hernia surgery and was rushed to our local amazing hospital and was approved for surgically there because it was emergency. The net opened up and he is in a lot of pain. We applied for a second surgery and it is already several weeks and we didn’t hear anything from medical. Dh is suffering is there anything we can do about it?

Can't you just go to the emergency room? Wouldn't they have to admit him and do the procedure?

I'm not sure what "medical" is, but if it's your insurance, I think you should call them and stress how urgent it is since your DH is in a lot of pain. Hatzlacha and hugs.

Have you tried calling your insurance?
Is this Medi-Cal, California's medicaid program? Unfortunately you get what you pay for. Luckily you don't get bills but the wait is horrific and they deny a lot.
