I know they have a lot of wax but no clue how to clean. Afraid of drops because I know they can harden the wax and make it very uncomfortable. What should I do that’s quick and painless?

My parents use hydrogen peroxide.
I use a spray that softens the wax. It just comes out. I have to wipe it up over the next day or so.
Alternatively you could go to an ENT to have it cleaned out if there's a lot.

I use q-tips. Everyone will shout how they are dangerous and also ineffective. But I use them, same as my mom used them on me, and same as I still use for myself, and kids' doctor says I'm doing a great job.

Unless the wax is bothersome, you don’t need to remove it
