What do you think the medical treatment for blood clot disorders is?
You seem to be willfully ignoring the fact that OP gets really ill from Covid. |
Covid vax actually increases risk of getting Covid.
See my post above for prevention of Covid.

If OP is willing to manage her exposure and reaction to Covid based on your list of prevention techniques - then she'll do that. MDs are quacks, why bother.

Blood Thinners
Or if you’d like something alternative like what ChossidMom was suggesting.
A Covid shot every 3 months (that doesn’t necessarily even prevent Covid ) is not the treatment. Not only that, it’s dangerous.

At no point did anyone suggest that a covid shot was to treat blood clots.
So you agree with her hematologist.

I'm not advocating for the Covid shot - but screaming and yelling that it causes blood clots, without acknowledging that Covid does as well is absurd. |
Agree.
Dont deliberately catch Covid
And dont deliberately get Covid shot.
Which can cause clots, and does NOT prevent Covid
Avoid both.

If I read correctly, OP was deciding between two choices. One was to take a Covid shot every 3 months without Blood thinners. The other was to take blood thinners without the Covid shot.
If she needs blood thinners anyway, what’s the point of the shot? Either way, what’s the point of the shot if she can still get Covid and if the shot also causes blood clots?

She doesn't otherwise need 2 daily injections of blood thinners if she's not exposed to Covid.
Clearly the MD who suggests the vaccine does not agree with your assessment.

Why doesn’t she need the injections with the Covid vaccine?
Can the doctor say without a doubt that if she takes a Covid vaccine every 3 months she will not get Covid? If he can prove that, by all means follow what he says.
Additionally, can he say without a doubt that taking the shot every 3 months is not a risk?
If he can prove that, very good.

If your opinion that taking the vaccine every three months will prevent getting sick from Covid - then you don't need the double shots of the blood thinner.
If you are asking me how OP is managing her blood clotting disease without regard to Covid - perhaps its less difficult forms of medication.

Have her ask the doctor if the Covid vaccine every 3 months will Without a doubt prevent Covid. If he says yes 100% and can provide evidence, I rest my case.

All he is doing is making a recommendation, she can take it or leave it. She has the same evidence that you do, that she did not get symptomatic covid 3 months after taking the shot.

Counsel, the Covid vaccine isn't on trial here.

Ok she came on here and asked for an opinion. I gave my opinion and then you (or others I’m not sure) questioned me. And then I answered the questions one by one when they were directed to me. She can obviously do whatever she feels like. This is just a discussion.

Study from Cleveland Clinic:
Amongst 51,000 employees - the more vaccines they had the more Corona infections they contracted. Study done during a 3 month period
Vaccine doses VS risk of Covid
1 dose - 1.7 times more likely to contract Covid than unjabbed people
2 doses - 2.63 times more likely to contract Covid
3 doses - 3.1 times more likely to contract Covid
4 doses - 3.8 times more like to contract Covid than unvaccinated.
The authors are confident that the result is very, very accurate and genuine.
The study is a "pre print study". The reason for a "pre print" during a pandemic is so that it can be acted on quickly, if necessary.
Here is the full study:

Both doctors who are suggesting what to do are from the Cleveland Clinic 😂. They are definitely very pro- vaccine. In any event, even if I get the vaccine again and again, I don’t fully believe everything that they say, I am somewhat skeptical and also am not too impressed by any vaccine that only lasts 3 months, but at the same time , I can’t afford to keep going to the hospital and getting sick.
I think I am going to go with the hematologist’s recommendation for now, and just go back to daily blood thinners and see if that prevents me from getting another bad case . It’s annoying, but I think that scares me less than to keep getting vaccinated and all the side effects that come along with that.

Only real way to avoid covid would be too quit my job and not be around people so much. Unfortunately, financially that’s not an option.

If the doctor is telling her to rely on a shot that isn’t reliable (meaning it doesn’t always prevent Covid), this means if she does get Covid, it isn’t that serious. Because she could get Covid. If it’s not dangerous to get Covid, don’t do blood thinners and don’t do the shot.
If she takes the shot and gets Covid (which happens often) ,and she’s not on the blood thinners, then what? (A question for her doctor)
If she needs the blood thinners in case she gets Covid, then she needs them anyway.
The blood thinners aren’t good but she may need to treat the condition that she already has. |
Regardless of getting the vaccine, I would still take blood thinners any time as soon as I would get covid at a high dose just like I do before I fly or get pregnant. The doctors are trying to learn from what happened the last 4 times.
There is no reason to take blood thinners every day if not for covid. My blood clots slowly due to a few genetic deficiencies. When everything is normal , I don’t have any problems. When I am in a situation that causes the blood to clot slower than it already does, I am about 50% more likely than the average to get a blood clot.

In addition, the vaccine causes blood clots. How is it safe for someone with a blood clot disorder to take it?
Also it makes a lot of sense that both Covid vaccine and Covid cause blood clots.
Why not just treat the blood clot disorder independently? | m
I haven’t had a problem with the vaccine so fsr and clotting , although I do take a blood test a few times afterwards to check my clotting levels (which so far have temporarily went up but not dangerously high).

I'm not sure why you went to a doctor in the first place. Dont you trust the mothers from this site for your medical care?
When you have a medical condition, it is extremely dangerous to take advice from a group of anti-medicine women.
I think you should get a second opinion from another specialist, and make them aware that you're very hesitant in re: to covid vaccines. With that piece of information, maybe they can consider other options if there are any.
