A (non jewish) friend of mine takes walks in a cemetery near her home. She asked me recently about seeing stones and quarters on the matzeivah of a child. Stones she knows about. She asked me why the quarters? I never heard of that and neither have the few people I asked about it. But since we have such a variety of women here, I was wondering if anyone here has ever seen or heard about it.

Never heard of this. Never saw it either. Maybe somebody couldn't find any stones.

That's my guess, though my friend said there were stones around.
