My dd special instructor (early intervention) wants to come tmrw to my house. It's just so hard when she comes to me vs playgroup. She is very unorganized and it takes a long time to settle in and then another few minutes to pack the things up. Plus half the time she is talking to me or showing me what she's working on. Or on the phone. So I told her tomorrow doesn't work. Especially since my older kids home and want to disturb. Is it selfish of me for this reason for dd to loose out?

I’m an SI and it’s fine it’s totally your right. If you said no every time that’s not right but once is fine.

For sure not selfish. If the other kids are home the therapist might even find them disruptive.

It depends how badly your child need the session. With my kids I never said no. I would clear a space and occupy the other kids. Make it clear that you are busy. But that's me. You do what works for you.
