OP, offer CL a reward $ if she finds the camera and ring.
Then fire.
And don't trust any CL.
Heard stories of CL who were honest for years,
until They were ready to quit, then robbed everthing.

My MIL misplaced her very expensive diamond ring. my FIL immediately accused the cleaning lady. A few weeks later my MIL found the ring.

I would leave something else out and see if she takes it. Don’t even need a camera. Maybe a $20 or something. If it’s gone you’ll know she’s stealing and get rid of her.

Just tonight my daughter asked me if maybe the cleaning lady stole her 24/6 (mp3 player). I told her probably not. Most times when we think the cleaning lady took it it’s really misplaced somewhere. Well she looked and eventually found it.
That said. Sometimes they do steal. I try not to tempt her. If this happened to me I would tell her it’s missing. Ask her to look out for it. And maybe she will “find” it.
I personally assume they can steal and just don’t consider that a major factor in keeping a cleaning lady or not. I lock important things up.

I was also sure my cleaning lady took my AirPods but then I found them.. we lose things all the time but everyone rushes to blame the cleaning lady when it’s usually not them
