Moshe Chaim flows off the tongue very easily. Yosef Chaim does not flow as easily and takes a little more effort to say. So Moshe Chaim is my vote.

Yes, honestly my moshe and all my nephews named moshe are huuuge handfuls and personalities! Which I think is great personally!

We actually almost gave a Yosef Chaim and switched in the last minute to another name.
I'd still give it if I get the chance.

A living Yosef!
My father's middle name is Yosef, so I am partial to Yosef Chaim.
Side note...
I remember this so clearly. I had a classmate in high school whose older brother was Moshe Chaim... but the name "rolled off the tongue" so easily everyone called him Moshechaim, as in one word.
When he had his first baby, he was born on Zayin Adar, the yarhzeit of Moshe Rabbeinu, so his friend asked him, "So you're gonna name the baby Moshe, right?" Her brother looked at him and said, "Noooo...." It seems he wasn't thought of as a Moshe, only as Moshechaim.

I like Yosef Chaim because I like the name Yosef and do not like the name Moshe, but I admit that Moshe Chaim is much easier to say if you are going to call him by both names.

I personally like the sound of Yosef Chaim better and I like the meaning. But both Yosef Chaim and Moshe Chaim are beautiful names - you can't go wrong either way! After the baby is born, see which one you think fits him better, you have 8 days to decide
