I don’t remember ever taking my 9 month olds to parks
Maybe they started going on swings at about 12 months? Babies that age don’t need parks. They can crawl around at home

Maybe the mom wants a change of scenery and fresh air? We usually put babies on playground swings at months

Of grass she can sit on and enjoy the baby swings. No park is made for infants.

Wow I so disagree. Put them in leggings and socks and they can crawl around, pull up to stand, walk around standing. The fresh air and visual input and stimulation is so good for them!

(My babies were late developers and didn’t pull to stand at that age. And crawling around a Manhattan playground seemed marginally safe to me. But we did do swings)

My babies loved the park at 9 months. Crawling around and exploring outside, cannot be compared to crawling around at home. It's so healthy for babies. They also enjoyed the swings at that age.

I think we are talking about the same park maybe, this is the one I mean, if I googled it right https://g.co/kgs/LrzEvD

It has an amazing playground for younger children in addition to the grassy areas.

My babies love being outside! Aside from this baby, who was born in the winter, my kids were all spring and summer babies, and spent the whole spring and summer outside. By the time they were 6 months it was already winter though, so then they were back inside. My baby now was 6 months at the beginning of the summer. I lay him sit in the yard, sit on the bench in the park, sit on the equipment a little (he’s not ready to play just yet) and by 8 months he was in the swing. He loves it! He laughs and laughs, and it’s the cutest thing. Babies thrive on being outdoors. There’s so much to explore.

It’s good to take them to different environments and explore. Even if they can’t do much yet. It’s good for their speech development etc. and can go on baby swings earlier than 12 months (I’ve seen ppl put blankets I. The swing if the baby is too small as a cushion)
