DD has pretty straight hair that's also pretty thick. The hair seems coarse somehow and every morning it looks really tangled and gets really puffy looking. We use Pantene shampoo and conditioner and I brush after the shower with a wet brush. By morning it looks wild like she hasn't touched it in a month. I tried spraying with No Tangles and it made things worse because a while later her hair was sticky and even more unmanageable.
I would lobe some ideas for how to care for her hair so she looks presentable and it's not such a pain to brush in the morning.

Braid it after you wash it at night. It won't tangle as she sleeps. I do this with my DDs' hair - different textures, one is thick and straight, one is finer and curly, and it works well for both.

Try leave in conditioner cream. It works wonders with my dd’s hair

I tried to braid it after her shower tonight and she didn't like how it looked (yes even to sleep in) so I put it in a low pony with another piney holder toward the bottom. I'll see how it goes.
Can you give me some brands for leave in conditioner cream? I'm not familiar with this product

I can’t sleep with my hair wet or it’s a disaster. Does she have to wash it at night? You can try a silk or satin pillowcase or hair bonnet

Pineapple/bun for hair at night.

Are you brushing from the bottom up?

I have this for my curly toddlers. After it was used for a few months, my toddler refilled it water. LOL, it got an extended life. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077....._asin

You can also try putting in regular conditioner that you have at home into a spray bottle with water.
I don't have experience with big hair tho.
