She is 2.5 and too hot for outside. She doesn't like the sprinklers. The last week was so boring for her. She gets bored so fast at home. Makes a mess out of the toys and then just wants to eat. All day. She is so bored that she just lays down on the floor and sucks her fingers. Makes me so guilty to see

Sometimes toddlers who don’t like the freezing sprinklers, enjoy a small blowup pool or water table with warm water and some toys

Library
Fairy tale island
Magnatiles
Bake together
Head start on grocery shopping (even that younge my kids loved to help me especially bagging and picking out the fruits and vegetables)
Finger paint/painting a wooden frame
Playdough (my kids didn't put it in their mouth at that age but if your child does- you can make your own. I used to do it too).
Read books/sing along and give her some makeshift instruments (pot and a wood spoon go a long way)
"Dirty"some of her toys I.e plastic animals or even lego by coloring on them w washable markers- then let her wash them in the bath
Blow bubbles in the tub

There’s a great indoor play area for little kids on 18 and 65th. It’s around 7.00/hour.

Library sounds like a good idea but she won't be interested in the books there for too long. She gets bored veryy easily. Same with indoor play area. She will go into the ball pit or maze and sit down, not want to come back out or continue on.
I have done playdough and she isn't interested. She doesn't like the sensory input. She doesn't like to paint.

What does she like to do? Does she play with her toys or just make a mess? Does she enjoy when you read a book to her? Does she like to color? Play with dolls? Dance to morah music?
