He was also misbehaving in school for several weeks after she was born (this was the last few weeks of the school year, thinking of it now that the new year is starting, though so far, so good). It was making us crazy, we were getting so many calls about his behavior, and obviously with a newborn that's the last thing we needed. He's also 10 (just started 5th) so I'm not talking about a toddler being jealous. He's definitely not jealous, he has been hands down the most excited of all his siblings about the baby, always wants to help and hold baby, play with baby etc. So it wasn't any sort of bad feelings about that. However, obviously new baby means things are a bit out of sorts for a bit, routine is not adhered to as much. And he does have adhd and struggles with changes to routine. So could it have been those first 6 weeks pp were just hard for him even though it definitely wasn't him being upset about there being a new baby?

He may be experiencing many emotions at the same time- meaning being the most excited for the baby doesn't mean he isn't also the most jealous. Hope I'm making sense here. 10 is definitely not too old to be jealous of a new baby.
