I always oil and it always sticks. Lately I've been buying the Friedmans small and that doesn't stick.

A lot of this sounds exactly like how I make couscous and that sticks when it cools off ...
Maybe I should bake it? Has anyone done it?

Maybe try the tiny farfel balls usually doesn't stick.
Also turn off the flame early enough so it doesn't become a sticky "kugel". Hatzlocha.

The secret to non stick farfel is using hot water. After toasting the farfel, add hot water such as from the percolator.

I toast it with oil, use hot water from the percolator, bake it in the oven.
Guess what, it still sticks! My kids only like it when it's wet and separated.
Someone once told me to cook it like pasta. Boil and drain. It's supposed to stay separated that way. Never tried it.

When I put a lot of oil it doesn’t stick, but I never measure...
