I agree with you that we need to be careful before we speak no matter who you respond to.
At the same time, a person who chooses to be vulnerable needs to be aware that she is speaking to strangers who know nothing other then what she chooses to share. If someone says something that can be perceived as harsh, take it with a grain of salt.
