Clueless here.
I want to buy cookies and decorate fondant and place it on the cookie.
Which brand is easiest to work with (and if it has more than ou is a plus since neighbors kids will be there).
And then you just put out flour and roll it out and stamp your stamp and cut out with cookie cutter and affix with corn syrup (yes, I used a lot of justs which I realize will be a pain in the neck and not 'just')

Thanks

I don’t know about brands, the one I use has an OU. But just wanted to say.heads up! You do not roll fondant in flour… you use confectionery sugar in the same way you would flour..
And also, in general, fondant is not that tasty! Many pretty cookies you see use royal icing to decorate and they’re delicious! But I’m sure as an activity for kids they’d enjoy fondant regardless!

Thank you! So I had some weird experiences with royal icing - maybe because I bought a ready one or making because baking is NOT my thing.
Thought this might be more fool proof (don't laugh, please)
Thanks re: the confection sugar piece.
So like Wilton Fondant. It comes really hard though no?

Satin ice fondant is kosher, available on Amazon and tastes better than Wilson.

You can use confectioner sugar or cornstarch to prevent sticking. I like cornstarch better.

Fondant is pretty fun and easy to work with when decorating cookies.

You can get stamps to imprint/emboss words or pictures on the fondant.

You can thin gel food coloring with vodka and "paint" watercolor style streaks. You can also get edible glitter and do the same thing.

Thank you! That was incredibly helpful. My local stores carry Baker's choice. Anyone work with that and was happy? If not I'll order the Amazon one.
